Hi all,
If you open up the andro .x file in fragmotion I can see there are animated bones. I would like to know if its possible (if possible know how) to copy the animated bones to another mesh and assign your vertices to the bones so I have a pre-made animation?
Would love some help, be very useful if you knew anything.
Thanks Stanley(Commended)

First of all, greetings, commended! Welcome to our community! You have your model in sketchup I think... Export it to 3DRad... Open FragMotion... Open the exported 000_mesh.x file... Now follow: File -> Merge Animation, find the andro model, open the 000_mesh.x and then OK! You may need to finetune the bones after the process and follow: Bone -> Auto assign verticies, and then OK... Export your model as directX (.x) on the last exported 000_mesh.x Open in 3D Rad... Add SkinMesh and chose your model... You should see the animation settings unlocked... Done! Now give it a try!

Hi commended, I in the early days tried the method suggested by Power........ and it never worked the mesh went crazy when animated. The reason is the bones original assigned vertices didn't match the new mesh. But there is a way, you need to study andros bones assignments and note which vertices each bone is assigned to. You will need to seperate the original mesh this can be done by exporting the bones as a BVH file load your new mesh then merge the BVH. Next follow the tutorial below. Below is a link to a tutorial I did on animating hope it helps. fragMotion_Tutorial_Bones_Animation.zipn_iron

Thanks everyone for all the replys. Finding it quite diffucult but I am getting there all thanks to you and this website. I will post a new thread on this but does anyone think a stealth horror game would be acheivable in 3d rad. You could make walking robot skinmeshs with a path and then when you get to close to their sight of veiw(Event on contact, a line coming out of their eyes for a sphere rigibody) the camera could change shaking on its face with a loud noise(jumpscare like the FNAF series). What do you think?

I think this can easily be achieved. You just have work smartly otherwise your framerate is going to drop drastically.
