Hello game devs.! I'm trying to develop a multiplayer racing game.. The whole project is going good but there's one problem. I cannot assign the camera automatically to the user joining the game. For 2 players (on lan) there's no problem as the client user has got a separate project to use.. so a different camera.. But I'm having 5 client cars and I'm unable to use a different camera for different client.. There's one thing I can do is the switch function but the users will have to switch the camera manually and find out which vehicle they are using... That won't be good. Please do help me to solve this problem! Thank you!

i'm in the process of doing a racing game too, i have 6 players all AI driven until a player joins then the AI get switched of to allow that player to drive.
what you do is use the network ID to know which client player is active and use script to turn on the cam and control other player things based on the network player ID as needed.
I'm still adding small things to the project and haven't setup the networking fully yet, plus i need to test and adjust things aswell, but the project is probably 80% done at this point and is using modified Range rover models that are included with 3drad..

Thank you for your reply TinSoldier! I'll try doing something by adding a script.. Let's see if I get success in it. Please do help me out if you get a good method of doing so.! All the best for your project!

Thank you Tin! But what I was expecting in the help file, it was not there.. Well, I've thought something about the cam chase.. What I'm thinking is that I can have a each of the car with a different camchase.. And untick the rendering at start option from all cameras.. Then I will add Event on input for each camera.. For example to switch on the third client car's camera when the the player joins the game, I can have the event on input for the 3rd camera linked with every camera, and make the 3rd car camera show and the others hide on input.. I will provide the network ID and player number to that event on input such that the 3rd car player switches to his car only. Similarly I will do this with the rest of the cameras.. And with this the players will only get switched to their respective car.. I've not yet tested this.. By the way, do you think that this would be fine?

sounds ok to me, i'm using separate cams for each car as well but using script to control them but using eventon** objects should be doable too.
