Hi, everyone. It has been a long time since I've posted something. I'm in the process of updating my Low Poly: Woods Lifestyle package on the Unity asset store. I did a few renders on some of the content in the package.
I will be posting one every few days. First one is on a little water scene. All content are being designed in 3DS MAX and rendered with NVIDIA Mental Ray with a few backbone lighting that provides a realistic look.

There is something about the lowpoly models... They aren't too realistic (in terms of realism), but they looks so good... I mean, really cool... For some reason they look so smooth and premium... When you add those triangles to the donut belt (don't know if that's the english term), it just looks so smooth... Probably the word is simplistic...
Great job, Andre... Keep up!

I have always loved them, too, because... somehow... they look... so cute! So... F1Andre has done it again!

Thanks guys! Power you have no idea what pain in the but that life belt/ring...thingy, was. Getting that triangles into perfect blocks, no easy task. Pteragon thank you, it can almost be defined as a child's art since it looks so soft and vivid.

In some games the realism isn't as important. For example you make a boat with 10k faces and you make a boat with 2k faces. Some games have a low-poly style which makes them look great and some have a high-poly style which makes them look great as well. So it depends on the game style which one you choose but I really like both.

Thunder you are right with the poly count. It really depends on the style or theme you are going for. Now compliment that theme with lighting and right texture parameters and your scene/game will look great. Thanks nickdh, the next render will be uploaded tomorrow.

Thanks guys! Power you have no idea what pain in the but that life belt/ring...thingy, was. Getting that triangles into perfect blocks, no easy task. FYI F1Andre i've been using 3dmax for a few years now, that torus ring ( Life Ring Buoy ) can be made literally in a few seconds. What ever process you used i think was wrong... let me know if you ever want some tips, i'm not an expert by any means, but i know my way around 3dsmax. PS and i only charge $120 per hour, so it's more than worth the price
