open 3drad first, under Object menu item select one of the 3 install options install custom skinmesh install rigidbody (box/sphere group) : use this if collisions are required install rigidbody (polygons) : use this for ground and static objects, also supports collisions but doesnt require separate collision models. Once you have the custom model install, they use the default models. To add your custom model, you replace the default model xfile with your new xfile model, over-writing the default ones. in your 3drad folder \3DRad_res\objects\RigidBody\data you'll find the directory named the same as your custom rigidbody name you created. In that directory, you overwrite each xfile model with your custom xfile models. rigidBody_.x is your box/sphere group model used for collisions rigidBody__.x (note the double underscore in the name)is your custom mass model for the object. rigidBody_mesh.x is your visual model that will be seen in project. rigidBody_shadow.x is your shadow model for your custom model. All these models do not have to be the same and allows you to add a custom shaped shadow to your model if needed, or a custom visual or custom mass model or custom collision models. see this web.archive.org site for more of the old 3drad website web.archive.org/web/20120103153208/http://3drad.com/how-to-make-a-3d-game.htm

you'll need a model convertor program..
Or an export plugin for your modeling program.
3drad has a blender plugin that can convert to a xfile for export to 3drad, i don't use blender, but the plugin is linked to somewhere on the forum for download, you'll have to search for it, or someone else can help find it.
3dmax for instance has a few different plugins to allow export to xfiles, those you'll also need to search for on the web, or someone else can help with a link..
