Hey! so i am making a racing game but i dont want to use the highway construction kits! I do have them in my project tho. Is there a way i can make them invisible to use less video memory so my gamewill run better. i have road skinmesh but as we all know that aint a solid so your car just goes straight through! lol

if you do not want to use highway construction kits just select it in the editor and press delete if you just want to make just double click it in the editor to go to its properties and uncheck the visible at start option,(i recommend deleting them if you are not going to use it)
yeah skinmeshes do not collide because they are not meant to, skin meshes is just kind of a skin for the object like a super detailed paint job, you should always import a rigid body(colorless) and hide its geometry and then import a skin mesh(colored) over it

Is there a way i can make them invisible to use less video memory so my gamewill run better. i have road skinmesh but as we all know that aint a solid so your car just goes straight through! lol yes you can hide the highway object pieces, add a script object and use the iObjectHide(OBJ_X); command on each piece. that said, hiding pieces should help performance in the graphics area. you could setup a LOD (Level Of Display) system based on distance to handle hiding and showing pieces as needed runtime. PS i'm fairly sure hiding pieces does not reduce memory usage, the pieces are still loaded and using the same amount of memory ( only their visibility is effected when hidden > opacity 0).
