Ok, i guess i've found a solution with broken old 3drad apps Here's a link to a demo done with 3drad 5.2 (compiled back in 2003) with my tweak on it: VR-P2_wheels_test2.zipcontrols: c/v/b/f to move, esc to exit demo. Now i need is testers. Please confirm if it run ok or crash on your system. Information i need: 1) successful run (multiple in a row) or not 2) your OS 3) your video card (+ driver version if nvidia) 4) your desktop resolution (old demos scale down to max 1024x768 and can crash on some exotic screen resolutions) and how many monitors you have as for me: 1) this demo works on each run, but other i tried (more complex) crashed for me 2) win10 3) intel HD4400 4) fullhd x 2 monitors

The game ran smooth, but there is something that I noticed... When I run it with the internal video card (intel) it runs fine... When I run it with the external (NVIDIA) It trails the car and the whole screen like a glitch...
1) Runs always 2) Windows 7 3) Intel HD Graphics 4600 4) 1366x768 1 monitor...
Check my profile for full specs...

Any chance of getting a download link to 3D Rad 5.2? I'd love to mess with it.

Runs here as well, although the screen flashes like crazy until I change the settings in config.exe to "Software Emulation". In software emulation it runs without the flashing but its very slow (about 15 fps) Other than that: 1. Always runs. 2. Windows 10 64 bit 3. GeForce GTX 970 on driver 361.43 4. 1920x1080 (1080p) + 1366x768 TV

@drninkeo, that's what I get with NVidia... a glitched blurry image that flashes like disco room... looks like this is a major problem to do with the NVidia video cards...

Hey FDX i remember you from the old, old 3drad forums i bought a copy around 2005 i think it was the forum was pretty much dead when i showed up. I tested the demo none of the you're supplied .dll files let me run the game on my system. Windows 10 x64bit 8gb Ram i7 3770k Radeon HD 7970 my error an empty message box with "wheels test" as a title. now i have found a fix that works on my pc and probably everyone's, think i had a better fix last year when i was trying to get 3drad v5.2 to compile a .exe but i cannot find the files bitpatch.com/ddwrapper.htmlextract that to the .exe directory and edit the .cfg file ForceDirectDrawEmulation = 1 NoVideoMemory = 1 the .cfg edit is actually not needed on the wheel test demo but other 3drad v5.2 games do not not run unless enabled such as the project diggs demo
nope sorry you do need to edit the .cfg hope that helps anyone who cannot get it to run

When I try to run that game in Windows 8. It just crashed. broken_keyboard im_gonna_shot_you

Seemed to run fine for me, i found that the [F*] keys rotated 3 of the wheel graphics( the right front wheel didnt rotate ) but that didn't effect the vehicle movements. There was a movement glitch that caused the car left front wheel to pulse up & down... win10 64 onboard intel graphics 1680x1050 found it odd to use FVCB for controls though

What the heck is this? This game crashes in my Windows 8. What is this? this is not a game, its a test in order to find a solution to make 3drad v2-5 run on modern PCs. Thank you for your help. I'd be happy to change those controls, but i have no source files left. The reason why i chose that demo is because it use both .x and .v3d models. Now we found out that v3d models turn out to completely transparent (judging from upper screenshot) on some pcs and xinput dont work as well.

Woah!!!! FDX you can induce epilepsy really well with this . I got that flashing glitch too, running on Windows 10. I may give it a go on the VM though.

This method works, i was writing about dx wrapper before, but i all antiviruses flag it like destructive software. So i doubt if its ok to recomend it. Thres 2 kind of software dxwrapper and dxwindow, they both use integrated dx8 to run files trough

well your link is "DD"wrapper, but there is also a secure page for "DX"wrapper at github.com/jarikomppa/dxwrapperthanks for this, looks promising for some of my old DX7 games that don't work on newer GPU's above 9500GT

there is also wined3d for converting DX7 games to openGL, it does work on some games but may not render some types of fog, and textures look washed out, etc.
