Hey there, So despite the simple geometry, the shadows somehow cause notable slowdown when they are all in vision of the CamChase object. Should I accuse my laptop's power? (Even though it is pretty strong?) Or is that just a thing w/ 3DRad? Or is it even a third thing I hadn't mentioned?

It's probably because of the terrain's shadow... It's disgusting in 3D Rad... Use volumetric shadows only for small objects like cars...
Try Gile(s) for lightmapping... It will significantly improve your performance...

Ok then!
I'll have to look into it once I get home.
Thanks!

Though it's redundant that I tried to avoid using Gile(s) and stick w/ Sketchup's 3DRad shadow export, I managed to get 3DRad to maintain 57-61 FPS in engine by exporting the shadow as a 'Skinmesh Closed-Hull Shadow'. This may not work as I proceed to get more elaborate w/ this game, but I'm unsure why I didn't try that first. I won't say its smart, but it works for me! (I'm preparing myself for using Gile(s) soon anyway )
