Hi Mike Good to see you back in the land of the living. Can't wait for the multi player thing.
Been busy with something else, will post something about it soon.

ok... finally had time to get back to this thing, and after a bit of work i've come to the conclusion that i'm going about this the wrong way... not the coding or anything like that... that all seems to work... It's The Approach I'm Taking...
the goal here is to make multiplayer easy for the rest of us... but after being away from it for a few weeks, and then coming back, i can see a few things that weren't so obvious at the beginning...
first off... there's an awful lot of coding (scripting) that the casual developer is going to have to deal with and modify in order to get his/her game going...
second... even a small multiplayer shooter is going to have to take a lot of stuff into account that is going to make this a complicated task for anyone not familiar with 3DRAD multiplayer...
after getting the basic shooter working, it dawned on me that this was an awful lot of work... and it would be better if something like this only had to be done once, and reused when needed... if the multiplayer capabilities could be part of COMPONENT OBJECTS... objects that could just be dropped into a project (like the current 3DRAD Objects) and after a few properties are set, these objects would automatically work, providing the developer with an easy drop in method to make a game...
i'm looking into this now... the first thing i'm rewriting is my Multiplayer Server and Multiplayer Client logic as a COMPONENT... if that works, next my simple Player Character Object will be rewritten as a component that'll include multiplayer capability...
after that, a vehicle (similar to the ones in Crysis) where you could just hop aboard and drive... also multiplayer capable...
then we'll be right back where we left off... and the next task will be to make a multiplayer vehicle shooter out of the vehicle components...
if this works out, it'll make all sorts of stuff a lot easier... for both single player, but especially for multiplayer games...
lemme hear your thoughts... opinions... criticisms...

i can say that mike, now you are going into the right direction... when we started this so called project our main motive was to make a multiplayer tutorial which was easy for beginners to understand and to test some new things like in game chat and we should keep it to that only,,, because if we are going to make a game out of it we should give it our 100 percent which is not possible lately because everyone is working on something, like power is working on his car battle game, i am working on a game as well, you are working on lunar exploration project so we should try to make it a easy to understand tutorial... that's my perspective lets hear from power

first tests of multiplayer components looks promising... i'm talkin about drop in multiplayer...
so far i've got a Net Server Start component, a Net Chat component, and a Net Server Player 0 component...
testing it with the old stuff and i'm able to chat back and forth...
next the client parts and then it'll be deployed...

yup... especially when your isp suddenly notifies you that you no longer have wifi as part of your package, inspite of the fact that you upgraded and was using and paying for it for the past 2 months... so now all my connected computers and devices no longer function without an external router... just a sample of the "fun" i've been having lately mucho fun gettin that up and runnin again... will have components ready for everyone to use/test by weekend... --Mike

What you experienced last months, pretty much I say, is terrible. Really sorry about you... Well at least the good news are that there will be content for testing... It's a great fun when testing externally...
