I've made a video about the detective game... Sit comfy and laugh a lot! Disclaimer: This is a comedy/parody/entertainment video, not the known generic Power Supersport tutorial with no voice, NCS music, intro, timelapse etc styled video. Have fun!

what's wrong with the current forum? i just hope the new 1 is not like a Win10 disaster (a cosmetic update with only annoying 'improvments')
and i'm glad i only spent a minute on that puzzle, just like the old MYST games, nowadays i just look for a game guide after being stuck too long.

So, a new forum eh? I know I'll find out more when it comes out, but what is it based on? Another proboards forum, or something you're hosting yourself? Either way, I'm looking forward to it. what's wrong with the current forum? i just hope the new 1 is not like a Win10 disaster (a cosmetic update with only annoying 'improvments') and i'm glad i only spent a minute on that puzzle, just like the old MYST games, nowadays i just look for a game guide after being stuck too long. If this new forum is a self-hosted one, then it's gonna remove our reliance on free forum hosting. Rather it lets us do what we want to it, without being limited on what proboards allows.

The racing game in the vid kept me well entertained through the vid. I was sweating bullets, thinking of a way to get that look in 3d rad. the suspense was doing donuts around me. but i couldnt have figured the puzzle out , even if I got all the clues.

FYI kulu, it was a NFS game - short answer: you can't get that look in 3drad, so don't sweat it...

If this new forum is a self-hosted one, then it's gonna remove our reliance on free forum hosting. Rather it lets us do what we want to it, without being limited on what proboards allows. Self-Hosted websites are hard to maintain. You need your computer open 24/7, some ports open on the router (that's the worst part, some routers firmware are buggy af, not even DMZ is not changing the NAT type). Oh, you can get flooded, hacked, etc , easier, if someone finds your / some of your ports open.

Oh, you can get flooded, hacked, etc , easier, if someone finds your / some of your ports open. That's one way to do it, although it's pretty much a waste doing it that way. What most people (and myself included) do instead is rent a cheap linux-based (usually Ubuntu, Debian or Red Hat) VPS, and lock that down tight. Provided you know your basic security stuff, you don't have to worry about port forwarding, ISP banning you for hosting a website, and the VPS can run for years at a time.
