Is this a multiplayer project? or 4 characters on one screen? You could just save what each player picks to a file and have the "stage" read from that file. It seems to be getting to the point now where everyone is ready to start expanding their 3D Rad knowledge and move up the food chain (I.E. Saving, loading, downloading, multiplayer and so forth.)

Its a splitscreen project im working on and it will be 4 players either performing cooperative missions or versus modes i havent decided yet but either way ive just been stumped at what to do i tried in the past making a series of project for all pkssible 2 player combinations but that led to aLOT of bugs and GLitching within the levels so it would be like smash bros with splitscreen and in a 3d world instead of 2d and each player would need to seperatly pick a character and the game would show that players progress with said character then they hit the select button level loads up everyone is there and progress returned to normal

To be honest a Split Screen game with 4 players is near impossible I guess... I mean just to start off you would need 4 different ways of controlling each player (W,A,S,D etc) and then on top of that you would need 4 mice/4 different combinations for controlling each camera.
Maybe trying a multiplayer game would work, but I don't know bro.

Well for instance r characters with movement then nomousescript then one special action would work in 3drad under 4 player abilites i mean ive already done such a thing as this but it was just as the picture is in the editor no multi file linking and all that good stuff i basically made 4 characters made the splitscreen and then separeted thier control schemes

I agree with GH here
Four screens is gonna reduce each players view to just a quarter of the screen, if your using your 50 inch TV as a monitor, it mite work..
There are other issues, like mouse control, i'm pretty sure only one mouse can be controlled in a project at any given time, joysticks on the other hand can have 4 defined if your system supports it.
If you really insist on a 4 player split screen thing, i would suggest creating each project a it's own separate client project, then use a main menu project for each player to select which player / project to play.
Multi-player has it's own issues to setup properly, but doing a 4 player split screen.. that adds a new level of issues, and seeing that you're new to 3drad or at least not so great with scripting.. I can only say goodluck , your gonna need it.
Most people will suggest you tackle a simple 2 player networked project first, get that working the way you want then move on to more complex projects, you're kinda jumping into the deep end of the pool when you have little to no swimming experience..

If not anything else, 4 split-screen would reduce the performance by 4 times, because it's using 4 cameras to render at the same time. Considering that 3D Rad lacks at performance optimization, it would get much harder to keep a decent fps when adding new stuff.

Oh. Ok well i certainly dont wanna end up screwing myself over or anything trying to climb higher than i can breathe ok so what about the same setup with 2 player splitscreen i know having network to client is more ideal but im not one for online play/lan play thats why i was wondering if 2 players with a max of 4 people on a split screen could be done like this with that setup in mind Im not to worried about the fact of the splitscreen reducing view especially now that ive decided on at least using 2 player splitscreen functionality im also aware of the lag yeah after i postef this thread i tried out with a few examples and why do each of you keep talking about 4 mice??? Im using the third person vharacter object with a Nomouse script and they can move around fine.... But yes the lagging is definetly there like the walking animations bug out when i tried it with 4 screens On a side not what did you mean when you said r controllers/joulysticks could act as 4 mice? If so how?

reread what i said...
3drad supports 4 joysticks is what i said, it has nothing to do with the mouse.
you could have 4 mice plugged into your computer, but they would fight each other moving the cursor around, the same goes for keyboards.
A four player split screen would only work really well if joysticks were used for input because 3drad supports 4 at a time, 4 keyboards for input could be used too, but all player inputs would need to be different keys assigned to them.
setup your project as a 2 player split screen first, that will give you the info needed to setup a 4 player split screen IMO .
