Ah, This happens with Unity Games. Just Install the right Version of Direct X and you will be just fine. It happened for me too on Road Redemption.

@neonstudios Yeah, my graphic card is pretty old (ATi Radeon X1650) WhyNotI have DX11 installed. I noticed instead, that Unity window says "DX9" even I'm sure I installed DirectX 11

Maybe try installing the Direct X that came with the game.... The pink screen means that there is a problem with the Shaders in unity. it might be your GPU but even my Intel Integrated Graphics has no problem with unity.

Taking a little look online Red Moon Entertainment, it seems that your graphics card doesn't support directx 11 (aka. no hardware acceleration) at all, nor does it support any pixel shader support beyond 3.0. So it's looking like that your graphics card is probably too old to run the game properly.

A friend of mine just gave me a graphic card (GTS XFX 8800). I have a ASUS P5B as motherboard, DDR2 ram and 230w PSU. Is this stuff compatible? I tried using that new GPU but when I switch on PC it starts doing noises at very high freq. without stopping (GPU problem). Could it be a PSU problem?

In theory it should, although with that 8800, you're gonna be looking at a bigger PSU to even run it. IIRC it'd need at least a 500w PSU if XFX is correct with their specs listed online.

Thx, for all the various replies

I finally did it. 700w PSU and GTS 8800 XFX. Finally I can play The Forest without problems. Thx, everyone! However one problem was that my old PSU had not PCIe.

Glad you fixed it. Probably worth the upgrade, right? I had an 8800 gtx a few years ago. It was a beast!!!

So, I can work better on Unity too And, yeah, since the better GPU I ever had before this was Radeon X1650, 8800 it's a real beast! PS: I should add more RAM, btw.
