Hello there, i'm new here! I'm trying to import 3d models as RigidBody in 3D Rad with these step: 1) Create a model in Blender 4.0, export it as .obj file. (the model is the default "Monkey" of blender) with these settings:
Geometry | √ UV Coordinates |
| √ Normals |
| Colors |
| √ Triangulated Mesh |
| Curves as NURBS |
Materials | √ Export
|
| PBR Extensions | Path Mode | Auto |
Grouoing | Object Groups |
| Material Groups |
| Vertex Groups |
| Smooth Groups |
| smooth Group bitflags |
Animation | Export | Frame Start | 1 | End | 250 |
2) Import the .obj file in fragMOTION, export it as .x file. with these settings: Format = Text Rotation Type = Matrix Options: All disable.
3) In 3D Rad, select "Install Custom RigidBody (Polygons)".
4) Copy the .X file tree times, renaming each new one: "rigidBody_.x", "rigidBody_mesh.x" and "rigidBody_shadow.x".
5) Go to the new RigidBody folder and insert the tree files( + texture) in the folder.
6) Get disappointed...
What i see in 3D Rad is only the cast shadow of the monkey(and it's a little broken) i don't know what to do! I'm trying for days, but nothing change, atleast the collisions works.

It sounds that this is easily solvable with a skinmesh. Use a invisible rigidbody, and a visible skinmesh.
Rigidbodies aren't supposed to be visible in the first place.

But rigidbody are not actualy this(3d mesh for collision + skinmesh in one object)? so i find out the problem, i forgot to add a material and texture to the model in blender. However, thanks for the reply!

No, since rigidbodies do not support shaders, for example the smooth/glow shaders from skinmesh that also support bump mapping and implement a Gouraud or Phong shading + bump maps.
