Woukd it share the same value if redone in a different project as long as i type the name of the project in the cross fike option bar? If someone could please give me an explanation on how this option works it would be really appreciatw the help on this please

When I used this method I used a different counter object per level (in your case stage).
You have to enter a filename like "stage1data" or something, you set it's value by starting it (EventOnInput etc (Start On Input)) and you read it through a EventOnValue (check between 0 and 1 for example, if it equals 1 the level is complete, 0 it isn't and load that level back up).
I don't know if this is the most efficient way though.

Let me break it down:
On the Menu (or equivalent) you need to include a Counter Object for each stage you are going to have and enter a filename for the Counter Objects to share (for example, "stage1data", "stage2data" and so on). On each stage you need one counter to save the value which the Menu then reads. Again, it must be the same filename as it is in the Menu ("stage1data" etc). At the end of the stage, start the Counter so it will save the value. Now in the Menu when it loads, you have a EventOnValue also for each Counter which will check if that Counters value is equal or within range of two values. 0 and 1 for example... 1 means the level is done 0 means it isn't. Hopefully this makes sense and helps
