I just spent the better part of an hour created this very detailed story about twitch.tv and justin.tv, TWIS and Michio Kaku .. Maybe about 110 lines worth with 8 or so links to youtube & Wiki and TWIS.org ... ((&@%#&*# **^#&#&#)) Pressed the wrong button on my keyboard causing firefox to go back in history... All the content entered were gone... doubled checked my history.. ALL GONE... NOT A HAPPY CAMPER right now. Had this exact same thing happen before on my smartphone and the forum, on my smartphone i spent 45 minutes creating a custom avatar for a game, then pressed the "back" button trying to undo a change, and lost all my work, and 45 minutes of my time. The lesson learned here--- DON'T compose long winded messages in your browser, use notepad or WORD instead, then copy & paste the result... I just need to remember this...

I've learned that the hard way... Now when I am writing a post, I always copy the text from time to time and paste it in notepad as you said... Because sometimes the exact thing you said happens...

I came to the idea after this little message foray .. Maybe firefox's hotkeys are the problem, i've seen weird things happen before in firefox that left me scratching my head wondering how this just happened. Turns out old versions of firefox used to have a hotkey config file that has been since removed from newer versions, which make it hard to impossible to change or disable unused hotkeys. On a search of the mozilla forums, i found this little add-on that returns the hotkey config functionality . Firefox should popup a notice box that it wants permission to install this add-on, you need to allow it. Then once restarted look in the add-ons for your new hotkey config options, which also allow adding custom hotkeys, not just changing or disabling them. the forum message forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=72994&p=14441249#p14441249the add-on link snarfed.org/keyconfig-signed-1.0.1.xpiI believe these builtin firefox hotkeys maybe responsible for this issue, at least in part.. PS i disabled all but 3 hotkeys because the others are never used, just sitting there waiting to give you a headache ..

It can happen to you on any browser... If you press backspace while being out of the input box, your content vanishes... BTW, try it out now... Just, always copy the text you're writing before posting... Anything can happen... EDIT: I can't believe chrome decided to fix that... You now need to use Alt + Left arrow to go back... neat...

Ohh you mean the missing H .. i didnt notice till you mentioned it.
I saw this video once, where it was shown that the human brain only needs the first and last letter of a word, and from that can quickly figure out what the word is suppose to be and the brain fix's it.
The center letters of the word can be jumbled up badly or even contain the wrong letters, and the amazing brain can still figure it out with high accuracy and speed.
I think but don't think they mentioned it, but the word length has to be exact or very close so other words cant be replaced, but still there is grammar of the sentence the helps to. Like saying "Taahk ypo", i'm sure you all know what i intended to type.

yup exactly, even i didn't notice it our brain has a weird way of reading, it reads what it wants to read 'taahk ypo' would be an extreme example though xD still you know what it means when put in the right context.
