Introduction
After the release of 3D Rad Script Assistant 2.0 (likely the final release btw) I think I will be ready to step up my game and start a more complex project. So...
I'm going to be developing a new Indie Platform (name to be kept hidden for now). What I mean by this is an application like Steam for Indie Developers/Developers in General. Yes I know Steam has Greenlight but this application is going to be free to upload and anyone can upload any game. Including games for different platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, Linux, Mac). It's still in the planning stages but I have a rough Idea of what I want it to be like and it includes lot's of good features some that a platform like Steam doesn't have (to my knowledge).
Pricing (Not final)
Non of the following is final and can change at any time. Instead of having 3 options (3 months free, 1 year and never expire) there are only going to be 2 options (2 months free and never expire) because the 3 options will be harder to maintain as I'm currently working on this project alone. The price of the 2 months is free (and you can sell your games) and the price of never expire is going to be somewhere in between £5/$6 - £10/$12. What would you say is a reasonable price?
Selling you Games
You can sell your games too no royalties or commision price. Even in the 3 month period, so you can make money for 3 months and then purchase either the year or never expire. I've kept the prices under £10/$12. If the prices seem high, compare it to this. The last time I checked it cost a wopping £75/$93 to upload your game to Steam (for commercial and non-commercial purposes). I let you do the same for under a tenner! (£10/$12)
Helping out
If anyone would like to help then please don't hesitate to leave a message below as well as if you have any ideas of what you would like to see as a possibility.
To help with programming you must know (intermediately) at least one of these languages:
- HTML
- CSS
- PHP
- C++
- C#
To help with design you must:
- Know how to use Photoshop or equivalent (Paint Dot Net is a good example)
If you'd like to help in another way just leave it below. All help is appreciated!
Thank you for reading!
