The implications that go with the process on making 3d rad work on mobile is to great. Unless you don't have the original code of 3d rad it may be unachievable. As Mike said why reinvent the wheel wheb there are tons of other engines that are built for that. Sure it will be great if you make it work, but it will never work properly(if you actually out of a mirrical make it work). I don't want to discourage you. It is nice to see someone try it, but there are reasons no one else attempted it.

noo, there is no need of 3d rad to be installed to play 3d rad games on it, if you have to make android games you can try unity, unity excels at the number of platforms

Tina... you can convert file formats and such... but 3DRAD still has to run... it's a binary that expects certain things to be in place on the target platform... the Android OS just doesn't have these things... 3DRAD won't run on an android machine... even if you could get a windows emulator running on one at least i don't think so...

How about ios is there any way?

iOS is a different operating system... no directx on it...
like the guys above suggested... Unity runs on all... make once, deploy (within limits) to various hardware and operating systems...
3DRAD is windows, dx only... sorry...

I guess uts more easier to make a game with unity 3d than to make a whole application. and the most of all have you ever seen a game engine running on a mobile. 3d rad has certain limitations every game engine has.

Thank you F1andre if you really think so.. I do, your experience with programming would have to be very good. I think even Fernando would struggle, but this is one of the best ideas on this topic since its origination in the old 3drad forum. You would hust have to have access to the source code.

an app that runs 3DRAD on Android???
Tina... didn't you just read what i wrote above... Android runs a different operating system which doesn't include DirectX...
best to write your game in Unity, or another game engine, if you want mobile...
we've got a few Unity developers here... it'd be good to start doing some stuff in Unity here...

Yeah there is a reason why I said you need the source code. That is not going to happen so we're back to square one. The other option is to decompile 3d rad and change a bunch load of code(almost everything). Even then you still face the other issues.

If you can get 3d rad to decompile and recompile it again

There is no such thing as a game engine on Android, I mean team of hundreds of developers are unable to do it, cause android or ios are totally different things take for example unity, unreal, cry engine, frostbite etc. Secondly I don't think that you guys have the right to modify the software refer to the end user license, third direct x is made by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows not for android, it will be like running a xbox 360 game on your Playstation 4 and you can't this fact because all the games made with 3d rad use direct x to run... I totally agree with Mike.

Mikehense even if you convert it you need direct x and convert all files

How about let make an attempt to do this who will help me
1.we need to contact Fernando and convince him for the source code.
2.we need to figure 0ut a way to run 3drad on android without directx models
3.we need to do the code we might need to convince Fernando to change the direct x models

Tina firstly I have been trying to find Fernando and it is a hopeless case. Jestermon would have had comtact with him, but I think that she has unfortunately past away. Tina if you have the code, what then, what are you actually going to do with it. It will benefit us with alot of other things. And gamedeveloper said it is illegal, and it is. Just becuase 3DRAD is abandoned, doesn't mean we can go and take apart(I know it is wrong terminology) the software. We need to respect what Fernando has created for us.

Tina... i'd luv to see several RAD games (Rocket Rumble immediately comes to mind) on a mobile device... but unless you find a Windows emulator that supports dx9c and can fit inside the memory space of a mobile, i really don't think that we're're gonna see 3D Rad running on Android, iOS, etc anytime soon... the more realistic path would be to use an existing game "engine" that can produce executables on the target platform... Unity's "The Chase" demo is an ideal example of such cross platform development... look here (<-click) for info on where to get it from the Apple Store, Windows iPhone Store, Windows Store, and Google Play Store for each of the respective platforms... --Mike
