Hello fellow video game lovers. I have always loved the final fantasy 10 mini-game "blitzball" ever since the first time I played it. I want to make a game similar to the blitzball mini-game . the only difference is that I want to make my game realtime. currently the ff10 blitzball game is semi-turnbased. I want to make a game that is closer to the openning sequence of ff10 , which can be viewed here :
Im still planning right now , but I am confident that I can implement my planned gameplay mechanics to 3d rad. Im not too worried about the visuals. just want to get the gameplay right.
If anyone wishes to join me in this little quest , please let me know.
obviously this game will be an original work, with no direct ties to ff10 ( its just inspired by ff10 , im not stealing their works ). if you want to join , drop me a response.
Hi bartyrocks3 . Sure I am very interested in collaborating with you. but what do you mean by "my console" . have you made your own console ? you can send me a message or email me at email@example.com . Ive started doing a prototype , to get all the gameplay mechanics right , before I move to making the visuals . will post vids or maybe even a playable prototype level soon.
One last thing . Im calling it " zero X gen" , because loser squad is already taken.
Good morning fellow rad people. here is the first draft of zeroXgen . not much to do in this first draft, but you can swim around. and other players are attracted to the ball rigid body, based on proximity .
arrow keys to look around , and 's' to swim forward. choose one character to play as at the start screen . I will be adding the other gameplay mechanics at a later stage. I think this will be fun with a multiplayer feature. but Im going to need help to implement that .
the download is a 37 mb .rar file , unzips to 77mb .
Oops Sorry . just delete the "controls.bin" in the game's folder (.......\zeroXgenproto5_20161120201133) and relaunch the project. that should reset the controls to project default. I must have been playing it before i uploaded. sorry.

My first impression is just great! Graphics look pretty stunning, pretty realistic... Or if not realistic, they just look cool... The cover and the logo look so professional and attractive... Looking forward for future release...
I have to congratulate you for being persistent even if nobody was answering your posts here... I know how bad it is for someone not getting any deserved attention... But you didn't gave up and that can be some super stunning quality content made by 3D Rad... And by you...
So, my comments... The game worked in windowed mode... However, in fullscreen, full-scene effects, V-Sync on, the controls didn't work... You have to look into that... And the controls definetly need some tweaking...
Thanks guys. Still very early in development . Will make adjustments and submit a new version . Im working on the other gameplay mechanics now ( throw, shoot, dodge , tackle ) . Im sure if I can get these basics right, and then add a multiplayer feature, then I will be satisfied . I was also quite surprised at the frame rate , I will try to keep it above 30 FPS .
Thanks for the kind words Powersupersport , Im used to flying under the radar. *stealth mode* . I tried doing all the changes last night , but I couldnt finish in time ( only 4 hours of sleep last night) . will be back later with updates.
Hi guys . here is the next update for zeroXgen . Ive taken out the Stacked Cam shader script, and used a simpler script for the underwater effect ( I found this script in the 3D Rad projects ,by the way. I dont know how to script like this ). I will add a no-underwater script later if people still have issues. Ive also added a kick action for the main player. player must be in contact with the ball inorder to kick the ball. press 'c' to kick.
I also refined the character animations, so they dont look so funny. I also added a new alien species (non-playable)
sorry about the download, but its a 50mb download this time. unzips to 98mb
controls are the same. will try and refine them later.
