I recently found a terrain generating/rendering software named Terragen. It was exremely complicated at first, but when I got the hang of it.... look!

You may be a beginner in this software, but that image is really good... Before featuring it, can you please render it in full HD (1920x1080)? Because that's the requirement for a wallpaper to be featured...

Then don't feature it. I would have rendered it 4k, if the free version of Terragen didn't forbid resolution, greater than 1280/900px.

Absolutely stunning. I can imagine that the program is extremely RAM expensive. How is the performance inside the editor once you have created a substantially large scene.

Haven't seen... too afraid... But it actually works some like 3DRad's imposters or Blender's arrays... but I'm surprised that I succeeded in rendering it anyways. If you want, you can try it too. Terragen 3 Download (the one I use)

To be honest, me too. Thunder has done very impressive stuff too, so we're like force as force! So... very nervous!

Wow! This render literally blowed my mind! Making something like this in blender is kinda time consuming and difficult but with this software it now seems piece of cake. Thanks Pteragon!

Man!!! Awesome!!! But... One question
Can it generate terrains for 3D Rad?

The premium version that has all the features(including terrain exporting) is worth $399, and if you want to animate the landscape(trees, clouds), you have to pay $599, so, just use L3DT for terrain generation. Terragen is awesome for wallpapers, but I do not recommend it for game deveopment. A regular terrain has a few milion polygons.
