Hello fellow 3d rad warriors!
Im planning on launching my indie games tonight, or over the weekend.
Im planning to distribute online at itch.io and gog.com as a start.
Both will run on a 512mb gfx. But I recommend 1024 mb and above just to be safe. (will run poorly or crash on onboard gfx cards). Please use nvidia or amd gaming gfx. With minimum pixel shader 2.0 support.
Hungry Overlord is about 120 mb in size , and Caged Photon is about 540 mb .
This is the system I built these games on:
Intel i3 3.4 ghz 6 gb ram nvidia 9500 gt (512mb) I will be posting launch trailers tonight as well.
Any suggestions and comments welcome

I forgot to put a configure controls object in this project. You can delete the controls.bin file and use these controls s - forward x - reverse left - turn left right - turn right

One thing I can say right now is the graphics are top notch, though you could have added some music and sound effects. I saw the frame rate dip just slightly when playing it, but it was great!

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I will recompile and post again. I will upload an uncompressed version from now on ( I wont zip it ) . I have no idea why it would freeze while loading. Please share your system specs. All my games are built on
i3 3.4 ghz geforce 9500 gt (512mb) 6 gig ddr3 ram
3dradenthusiast , did the game work on your system? Please share your system specs.
If you guys dont mind. Id like to do a beta test of caged photon and hungry overlord ,so that this doesnt happen again. I will upload to mediafire account .

Worked for me...well it loaded and ran, it looked nice but I can't comment on how much fun it was as it ran at an unplayable frame rate
Specs - i5 2.5GHz 6Gb ram Intel HD built in rubbish GFX
I did notice that the buildings were really high poly for what you can see of them (60,000), knock that down and you will probably get a bit of a framerate boost, seemed to have a few post process effects on which will grind the rate on built in graphics (it would be useful to have an option to turn them off for us laptop people)

Thanks. It also runs terrible on my intel hd gfx, which is why ive kinda abandoned that plan.
Maxcarsfun was just for me to test my modelling skills, which is why the buildings have a high poly count, I was just messing about.
Please use gaming gfx if possible.
I do use post process (bloom) for added light effect.
Just a warning. Hungry overlord is me trying my best (normal maps, post process bloom, full screen sprites, sound effects, music, lots of polys , particles , physics)
I tried to push my system to the max with hungry overlord, so its going to chow resources.
Caged photon is less hectic than hungry overlord (no normal maps, only uses 'default' shader for all meshes (no other shader is used)
please also use winrar to unzip. I cant uplaod unziped files.
Thanks guys . Much appreciated . Arigato.

Hi again . sorry for so many posts in one thread here is Hungry Overlord in a compressed .zip format www.mediafire.com/download/8mcpx9uqn7cfy41/HUNGRYOVERLORDvE16_20160626200212.zipthe download is 119 mb this is the finished game...... so this is kind of a freebee. no strings attached. showing my appreciation to the 3d rad community { seriosly , this place is better than local S.A. indie forums } please note that this game will chow resources. what I can suggest is running at lower resolutions { maybe even delete the normal maps, just make backups incase}. Im sorry for this....I wanted to show 3d rad's potential . seriously 3d rad kicks ass. If I can do this with 3d rad {ive had 0 game development training, and i mean less than 0 , I even failed highschool computer science } , then just imagine what you can do. I see 3d animation as a tool for self expression, and treat it as an art form , not a job, not professional diploma. {maybe thats why im unemployed....oh well} keep pushing the power level.

My PC's specs are
i5 3450, clocked at 3.10 ghz 8 GB RAM EVGA 750 ti 2 GB Windows 8 64 bit
In regards to your Hungry Overlord game, I like the concept quite a lot, though I can't seem to figure out the controls. I can move the camera around, but nothing else.

Hungry overlord controls are arrow keys (up , down , left, right ) to move camera (look around) left control (Lctrl) to shoot knives c to reset camera to centre of screen overlord's comments on your cooking will vary according to your score. Low score ,overlord will not like the food. High score , overlord will like the food. shift+ctrl+f9 to set custom controls. I used this control system because I dont know how to create custom controls (gamepad inputs) for mouse movements. I wanted this to be a surprise, but there are three levels , dinner , breakfast , and lunch. The throwing tools also vary in each level (knife , spatchulla , dough roller ) . And lighting (outside) changes on each level ( night , morning, midday) comments and suggestions are welcome. I will work on a low pc spec version soon.

Now that I know the controls, I went and played it. Rather unique concept you have here, and the animations, models and world are well made! Great job. Only minor thing you could fix is the music is a bit distorted. Otherwise? Good game. I enjoyed it.

Finally had the time to take a look of them... Let's be honest here, none of the games ran smoothly on my machine...
Considering my laptop as a very decent machine I just can't get why I am running both games with probably arround 5fps (no joking arround)...
I definetly think you should optimize the games a little bit... Add a LOD system... Add a quality settings... The second game (Hungry Overlord) ran at 0fps... It just froze on my screen and didn't do anything...
Nothing too much to comment about, but I think that the bloom effect is a little bit too much... And you can also add a settings for the users to disable it...
