Hey everyone. So I have developed some incredible skills working with Unity's old GUI system. I gained these skills while trying to produce decent apps of any genre and type. Most of them have failed completely due to insufficient knowledge on how these systems work. But I can tell you that it was at no loss. Over these past few months I was able to produce some better looking apps that are fully working and have actual testing versions.
Here is one of them called: MSC (short for schools name) Staff. It is primarily aimed at parents as parents always have to bother their child during school times in order to get a teachers contact information in order for the learner to sign out of the school (lets say you need to go to a dentist appointment during school hours).
The end goal was simple enough to make it one of my first public available apps. So how does it work? Simply open up the app, scroll and tap on the teachers information you want. At the top of the page you will find a refresh button that will download a csv (comma delimited) file containing all the information from the server. Once that is done the data will be processed and the app will adapt to the rest.
DISCLAIMER: ALL DATA ARE THE SAME DUE TO SOME LEGALITY ISSUES THAT STILL NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED WITH THE HEAD OF DIRECTORS FROM THE SCHOOL (so it is not a glitch, all the data are the same for these reasons. This is the exact same reason why I can't upload it to the Google Play Store)
Please review and give any feedback possible. For further regular updates visit our FacebookPage.

Haha thank you, it's not that good looking Performance will be key if you can provide feedback regarding that.

I think there is a little problem... I don't see any info... There is just the title "Staff List" and that's all... There are no teachers... What's supposed to happen?

Do you have your mobile data switched on? It's only needed for first time and every time you resync with server.

I reinstalled the app, it seems that the link have expired or been removed from the server I was hosting it on (a free .txt file hosting server). I will upload a new apk tomorrow with a fixed link. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yep, working this time... My menu is full of Kirek Carel bots... But seriously, is it supposed to be only Kriek Carel in the menu? In the screenshots you have other teachers too... Keep in mind that I also refreshed a lot of times... But on my phone I see only: Kirek Carel Kirek Carel Kirek Carel ... /lots more/ ... As a minimalistic type of guy, I love the design... I like simplistic style and layout, which you also ovbiously like... I am sure that this kind of app will help the parents find the necessary info for their children's teachers... Because this gets important sometimes... I would like to have one for my school, but I already graduated... Very good concept, Andre... Keep going and I am looking forward to more apps from you! It's good that you're going into more social and practical part of Unity...

Thanks for taking your time to have a look, I appreciate it a lot . At the moment all the information are the same ...looks a bit weird though. Those screenshots are from early test back in March, will update them as soon as the current one is in full working condition (released). It's hard to beat minimalistic designs, always sleek and fresh. Most of this apps I just make for my portfolio and CV, but it also has some practical uses as you mentioned...it's a win-win situation. It is always a good idea to stay as far as possible away from school If you are interested (which I highly doubt) you can use the source code as long as the app is designed and signed under my name. Quick question, are there any sort of lag or problems, maybe an irritating feature of the UI that is hard to click on?

No, there were no lags... The buttons worked perfectly, but a thing that can be improved is that when I press the back button on the android (The physical button that comes with the phone) turns me out of the application... I mean, I am tapping on a teacher's profile, then I want to go back, I press the android back button and it stops the app... Probably if this button can be set up for going back into the menu will be better...
And thank you for the source code permission, but as you already though, I will not need it... Simply because I have a lot of other projects on my list and simply won't have the time to mess arround with another app... And another reason is that I won't find any use of it at the moment... As I said, I am out of school currently...

Excellent news. For the moment I want to remove the android back button completely, it still has a few issues. The code looks fine but haven't spent much time debugging it.
Everyone can now refresh the data to get the new information, but the list doesn't stop when it comes to the end. Will investigate and upload a new apk.
Edit: Fixed the above mentioned problem with never ending list. It still happens in rare cases, so just refresh and restart the app for now (only when refreshing) and please report if you experience this bug.
