TinSoldier you game looks really cool. Decent skills! I'd like to take the credit for the skills, but the only piece of this modeling i did personally are the Kart & it's wheels, & the robot driver, plus i added some collision bodies over the steps to make them smoother for the Karts to drive over. The source Daisy Cruiser ship was a sketchup model, i converted into a .3ds file and imported into 3dsmax for editing. The conversion process went like this - Sketchup model exported with 3drads sketchup exporter, that .x file loaded into Meshview and re-saved as a .x file, the new .x file loaded into Deep Exploration & saved as a .3ds file, then imported into 3dsmax for editing, the collision surfaces were separated from the visual only surfaces to reduce 3drads collision model poly count, also added the new collision surfaces, then re-saved as a rigidbody.( no skinmesh used ) I considered saving as a skinmesh for the ship visual to allow for more visual effects, but maybe down the road. I also edited & converted some of the textures to .DDS with mipmaps and compression. The project will be a 6 player race project with 2 or 3 tracks, and also networked. No AI players planned at this point, but we'll see. It would be kinda nice to have all 6 players setup as AI by default, then as live players join the project, they would replace the AI players.
