even if the rad exporter works with trimble 2016 i doubt it will fix models with dodgy geometry [unless there is a 'fix dodgy geometry' plugin for it], it's something you have to manually check and fix yourself, especially if you want a clean shadow mesh.
remove all the stuff you don't need to see [like engines etc] and it will export quicker.

First, get SketchUp 2016 and I think there will be no problems. If there are, you'll have to explode the model. Which operating system do you use Thunder? Will it support Windows 7?

and it fixes dodgy geometry? how? if it deletes lines that are not complete when the modeler may want to finish it later that could delete a lot of work, unless it's an optional pre-export optimize you can do.
...another thing is trimble 2016 free is not for commercial use, have to buy pro if you plan on selling a game.

You don't have to worry about using pro or not, tremble won't even know if you use pro or not.

Yes... The only thing I like in SketchUp 2016 is the new "Tray" thing they added... It makes the interface much easier to interact with...

You don't have to worry about using pro or not, tremble won't even know if you use pro or not. sure about that? 'Trimble may use your internal network and Internet connection for the purpose of transmitting license-related data at the time of installation, registration, use of or update to the Software, and for validating the authenticity of the license-related data in order to register your Software and protect Trimble against unlicensed or illegal use of the Software.' if you want to risk being sued $1000's or more for the sake of $700 then that's your choice.

Ha lets be real for a second shall we !!
No brand name company like google, will go out of their way too sue a 3drad developer UNLESS they have created something worthy of their time and money.
This means actually selling a project or having their project in the lime lite, talked about in the media etc...
Companies don't go after people just because they can, it's all about money and profits, if you make money from their software, they want their share of your profits and that's is a fair price to pay.
At the worst, any 3drad developer would likely receive a notice, maybe a legal document in their contact email that amounts to a threat of further action if they don't stop the alleged illegal activity, or buy the required licenses.
Companies don't spend money or time unless they have something gain from that action, going after the little guy trying to make his mark in the industry mite even hurt the big companies reputation as being way to strict and only worried about money. ( of course every company on the planet is there solely to make money, but it's not a good idea for them to tell the paying customer that to their faces... that's not a good advertising...)
If this should happen to anyone in the 3drad community, be proud very proud, and buy the damn licenses and get stinking filthy rich too.

i agree, most people starting out can use the free version during dev, then buy pro when/if it gets commercial. but if your intention is to be commercial then why not just stick with the free 2008 pro? are the newer features worth a $700 license to you?
my point though, is that big brother trimble (not global giant google) is watching you if you use later versions, and you consented to that when you installed it.
