Another thing. The horizon is detectable with an eye. Was it supposed to be like that?

Don't delete it. It's really good. (Sorry for my hard criticism)

How did you make the water material? Can you provide the material nodes? Nice render btw ;-)

In cycles Render I made a plane with a Glossy Shader.... oh, too lazy to explain, I'm just gonna send a screenshot, hope you can see it... Attachments:

Did you make it yourself? Is it a plane with only 1 face (maybe a silly question)?

Yes is the answer for both of your questions.

Looks really good for 1 face - speedup for the render time.

The render is very nice, even when there are only a few objects in it, and... not sure if I'm ever gonna do something about game development. I'll probably do, at some point in the far future...

You just have to model and animate.
I did say that I'm working on couple of games, right? I am offering you the position of 3d modeler of those projects. C'mon! You are a featured artist. You managed to go to the second round of timelapse 2016 while I failed in first round. I know you can do it 😉

Christmas tree (low poly art)Hope you guys like it! Yeah, yeah, I know it's not Christmas or New year today. I was going to upload this exactly by the end of Dec 31 but I suddenly got sick, which caused the delay.

Great art man! You should look at the fire again if you want.

Everything in this image looks just perfect... Except the fire... I get that it's lowpoly art, but the fire looks too blocky...

Forgot to ask. How did you get rid of the noise apocalypse in indoor renders?

Post by DedTed on Jan 4, 2017 16:12:40 GMT
Alright, so I've made a little change in the render and re-uploaded it. Just changed few values in the material. And about the noise. Just increased the samples from 128 (default) to 1500 (quite a lot for my slow as hell laptop ).

Now the fire looks a bit better for low-poly art. And to tell you that I usually render at 200-300 samples.

You have to add a bit of prisms arround the fire to simulate lowpoly styled particles...
