Hi, guys... It's been a very long time when I first said that I will upload tutorials... The time has come! This is the first video of the Game Modelling Tutorial Series... In all of the videos, I will progressively create a game in 3D Rad... And all of the actions I do will be displayed in front of you... No hidden cuts (except when I mess arround in my personal files)... So, here it is! In this video, we start by making a road for our racing game... There are plugins that will make your life easier when modelling a road... I really hope you like these series... Show your support! Because I am making videos as long there is interest in them... I don't want to lose my time doing useless stuff! Plugins: LibFredo6 6.9: extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/libfredo6 FredoScale: extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/fredoscale SketchUV: extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/sketchuv

And I feel so inspired after reading your comment... Pteragon, in some cases, Sketchup's texturing is really much easier, but sometimes, it sucks... That's why there are some tricks that I will post too... Thunder, thank you very much for your support...

If I can give some tips that would be -: -use shortcut keys to work Faster like using o for oribital rotation or m for moving stuff, triple click for selecting an object and much more... -using camera angles like top, bottom or sides make modeling much more accurate... -divide objects in components for complex models, it will help you a lot... -try keeping a reference picture while modeling stuff... -make huge models like rooms in parts and in different sketch up files, like furniture in another file and the rest in another... -learn using complex tools like follow me too.. and use the perspective tool and walk tool where you cannot go... -and most of all keep making stuff your modeling will get better

All of them will be included! Very thank you for these... It really lit me up... I mean, I knew these, but when you suggested them, it's more like to remember them and add them... and I am sure that it will light up all other struggling modellers...

SketchUV keeps saying, "Saved UV's for 0 textures" when I have everything selected. Is there a way around this?

Select all of the faces, click the rainbow colored box icon, right click on the selected faces, then Save UV...
When you're done twisting etc, use Restore / Load UV's...

fredo plugin huh? i was starting making curved roads 1st THEN texturing - what a nightmare trying to align them around each curve! like the vid, i thought to make a straight rd, tex it, then bend it - amazing what plugins can do that sketch can't, trying to find the one you need among so many is the problem.

...no go, as fredo realigns curved textures to 90degrees aswell, so i assume you use uv or projection mapping, but i now have good tex rotating plugins so with 3 choices i can use any method quickly.

Power Supersport, I have Sketchup 2016 installed in my PC. But, I don't know how you got the curve tool. The one which you used to curve the road. Is there any shortcut key? There is not such toolbox and suddenly it appears in the video. Please teach me how to get the tool. Regards Famer
