indiedev: won't matter much for most indies unless they download or make assets of scanned real-life objects, or have the time/resources to make million faced models for objects that don't exist. see 2011 UE3 Samaritan Demo, not 1 game ever looked like that since. Dec 7, 2022 9:43:26 GMT

indiedev: i'm not knocking the use of assets, but sometimes it's just as much work searching for what you want than it is to do it yourself. also there's a point when such assets become so familiar that different games look the same and original art gets lost... Dec 31, 2022 13:28:57 GMT
