Are you sure that sketchup can't be the tool for making humanoid models? I am modelling myself into sketchup at the moment and that's what I'm getting... Please, I want to assure that you all know... This is my model... no 3D warehouse, no plugins... Everything is done with pure Sketchup tools... I hope you like it! (Disclaimer: The model is still not ready!)

this could be really tough, cause sketchup was never really made for sculpting, still i like what you have got until now

I prefer ScetchUp than (for example Blender no matter it has sculpt tool) but ScetchUp is really easy to use and can achieve unbelievable results. See for yourself...

Sketchup isn't bad... I like sketchup and you see that it's much easier than other programs... The only lack of SketchUp is that it doesn't have any renderer... So we can get photorealistic images...
I use the move tool as a sculpt tool... that's how I do it... I started from a box and I slowly shaped it like a human body...

me too i like sketchup,because it easy and not complicated,like blender,it have a lot of menus and windows,and other crazy stuff,i can't make anything with it,i like things simple and clear,anyway,nice work,keep on.
