Hi there! Most of you dont know me, but i hope someone still remember me. I was one of those kids who made tons of noise on old 3dad community. When 3drad owner was Leonard Edelman and 3impact wasn't yet created Watching studio bitplane's triumphs and failures for more then 10 years. I've seen community explode on first demonstration of version 6 and seen how much everyone was exited about it. New features and new engine gave a massive expansion and looked promising. Everyone gone exploring new limits of new technology as i seen it. But since 2009 i've left cuz of one thing that got me out of game development. And that thing is called "life". A lot of things happened and i just kept visiting old forum few times in a year. i've noticed a huge community activity drop after release of version 7.2.2 and was there right before forum shutdown. Back there i was searching trough my old hardware looking fore something that still worked and found one pc and few hard drives that i was able to restore. I have a huge piece of 3DRAD history on my hands and now working on giving it back to community so every one could see what it was like back there. When i contacted Fernando back in 2012 and told him that i have purchased a 3drad related domain and want to make some kind of archive, he liked the idea. But after forum shutdown i've lost contact with him and project stalled. Now i decide to continue on my own and few of you already found my "in development" version of site as i noticed from shout box few months ago. I was hoping to ask Mike for help and trying to contact him, but when i got here i found a sad news that shocked me badly. I have no other old contacts left and have no idea how to go on. Since such horrible things happen in life and you realize that all motivation is replaced with sadness. While i was trying to find time to do something without sharing with others i might turn out to come with final result and there will be noone left interested in it. I guess such "hello, i'm a new" thread is not an appropriate method of joining a new forum, but i hope you forgive me and let me rejoin 3drad community P.S> as you can notice English is not my native language and i still dont know it well(same as 10 years ago) but i hope you got what i mean

Nice to have an Old 3DRADer back! What games have you worked on with 3drad? my own projects: VR-Poison, Kamikaze Ducks, CL-Turret, Corrosion, few tech demos and a lot of resources (lens flares, teramorph, solid trails etc) I also worked on community project Jetpack Racer and on Tecno:Inside the base (tester, composer)

would be great if you share them with us... some of them i have on my hands and will upload soon. However you'll need some voodoo magic to run them on something newer than winXP as for corrosion: i found some screens on web archieve: web.archive.org/web/20060207183908/http://www.3drad.com/forumphp/index.php?topic=4041.0the moment when i lost a year of work due to hard drive failure was the reason i left 3drad those shadows in scenes were pre-rendered and mixed with textures as light maps. All game files were about 2gb and 80% of them were rendered shadows

I think I remember you as well, FDX. I was doing a split-screen biplane dogfight game way back when.
I just dug out the good old 3DRad 3.0. Apparently it runs on Win7.

Howdy, I was on the old 3drad site as well. One of the immature children who said "Imma make a game about zombies and stuff". (MikeHense yelled at me alot) I still have a lot of the original and custom extensions. I'll see what i can muster off of the old backup HDD.

Yeah man, I seen that after I posted. Sadly, when I met him on the old forum I thought he was a jerk. He seemed to pretty cool from what i gathered on this forum. I regret my first thoughts....

Little late but I sure do remember you FDX! I remember all the "old" guys because without all their kind help (especially YOU, Tin!) I never would have got anything working or anything finished! Really sad to hear about mikehense. He was always really helpful and contributed a lot to the community. Anyone ever hear from Quantum? I know he was in poor health back at the old forums and I worry about the worst since he was a really good guy. Nice to see the old "3DRad" gang again Used to have a lot of fun with 3DRad.
