Hi everyone, it has been a long time since I have said something on this forum. I just wanted to inform you that I have stopped the development of my F1 game, hence it the fact of the time it consumes to get somewhere. I have not realised all the components a game is made of, and I only now know why they make such games with a team of about 300 people. I have set out on this project blind, not knowing what Is going to be needed to make a game. It is a sad and disappointing moment but I can not go forth.
I have done my homework and have decided to embark on a new journey with a builder game (Largely known as games like Clash of Clans or Sky Raiders). The amount of components needed to make such a game is far more but less complex and time consuming. The game will be totally different to games found on the Play Store or PC. I will make an entire GDD (Game Design Document) and it will contain everything that goes into making a builder game or at least the thing I am making. The code will not be open source but the GDD will be released as it is being done. I will put up a site and update the status here as new content is released.
DellyArts I have not yet made screenshots of the other tacks I have modelled.
@gamedeveloper0 && Power Supersport The only pictures I have of things I have used in UNITY is a F1 car on a showroom floor stand. A attachment is below of the 2 pics. I can upload that COD shipment map in about a months time.
There will be a attachment of some code for the F1 game in unity. This is the main part(you can almost say core) of my car physics. The are about 5 other scripts but this is the main one. I have tried to remove all the functions that call variables from other scripts and have put them in this script. If there is a variable missing let me know. The steering is halfway done, but I have put a little piece of code at the bottom without all the physics and angle stuff. This part is quite hard to script. I have not tested the code as one script but it should work. Create a game object and a child object, then put 4 wheel colliders into the child object and make a cube for the body. The child object of the colliders must have a rigidbody component to it as well as the car's body.
