Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to create a installation process. I am aware that you can compile projects but this of course will not work on anyones computer. On the 3d rad website there is a section for free games created to demonstrate the effects of 3d rad (http://www.3drad.com/free-pc-games.php). When you download a game it gives you a setup wizard. This isn't the first time I have seen this happen. Does anyone know how you may go about doing that?
Full thanks on any hints, tips or tutorials(any feedback at all!), it is very much appreciated.

I have thought about this at times and my mind always refered back to a third party app that takes certain files and extracts it to a certain place. I thin WinRAR offers such a program where you can take a few files and make them in a .exe so that they can be extracted and pasted in a certain directory path. Of course all .exe programs that you download works like this(Some of them do), so I am sure there are more sophisticated programs out there that can do that job.

i hadn't given this much thought in a loooooooong time... good topic... take a look at these two you tube vids (one with really bad audio)... this may be of some help... also... there is something called Install Creator by Click Team (click here) .... the free version is fully functional... and, if i remember correctly from wayyyy back... i had a license for this and it worked very well... I suggest the ClickTeam Install Creator because the top method didn't have an obvious easy way of adding subdirectories to the installer (at least i couldn't find it)... The ClickTeam Installer Creator starts with an easy to use wizard... here's an example of a simple 3DRAD program installer done with the ClickTeam Creator, that wraps up your project in a professionally done installer... Dungeon Cell Installer Example (right click and select download) Keep in mind that all of your assets are not protected with this method... you have to do that before the installer wraps it all up with some other app, (like Molebox)... good luck --Mike
