Funny you mentioned support@3drad as an email. I emailed it a few days ago, and it did go through just fine. Though it's probably abandoned now. I just want 3D Rad to go open source... The possibilities would be endless at that point.

I dunno... Everyone has his own reasons... Maybe he didn't have the money to continue updating... I really have no idea... Can be anything..

That's what I may try to do... I still wonder why he just suddenly abandoned 3D Rad like that... A lot of things happened.. 3drad was made using 3impact which was also owned by fernando. They originally had 3 developers, when they bought 3drad from leonardo, he worked at the company too, at some point leonardo sold everything to fernando and left the company, can't say if anyone has heard from leonardo since. When 3drad was first bought, we were told they were trying to create or integrate a "BASIC" type scripting engine for 3drad, this was to keep it as similar as possible to the original 3drad v5.** and prior. We waited for almost a year for 3drad v6.00 to come out , and were told they weren't successful with the "BASIC" scripting idea, so instead they added Angel code (angel script). Along the way, i assume sales weren't doing so well, so 3drad changed over to a donation system, where features required a certain donation level to be reached before being added to the engine. Once released, all donators were given access to the new version with the new features, 3 months later the new version was released free to everybody. I assume this still didn't work out well for the company and we heard 2 of the developers left, this left only fernando to do the developing. We heard fernando was farming out 3drad programming jobs to some extent, to help get things done. Then 3drad became freeware. A year or so later, i contacted fernando asking if i could take over the 3drad forum, he replied mentioning the cost was high each month and the forum would remain open for the foreseeable future. Turns out "the foreseeable future" was like 2 or 3 months later and the forum went off-line. There's been 4 or 5 3drad forums popup since then, 2 that i was an admin on both closed, ( i had nothing to do with closing them, it was out of my hands and i didn't even receive any notice of closing for either of them). And here we are today. PS just a note which i have mentioned before, i believe the original version v5.** of 3drad, written by leonardo, are probably the most stable versions, but doesn't work quite right under new windows versions, and are quite limited too, compared to newer 3drad versions. As always, i probably made mistakes and have omissions...
