A little present for the new 2016 year...
I had tons of requests to post this game, no matter how buggy, laggy and unstable it is... So I decided to do this...
Geometry Dash 3D /beta 10/
Geometry dash 3D is a game, where you jump through obstacles and find your way to the finish.
This game is unstable because of it's end of development in 3D Rad...
For beginner users:
Keys: Left mouse button or Spacebar
The character: Use key to jump, hold key to jump continuously;
The spaceship: Hold key to fly up, release key to fly down;
The ball: Use key to switch gravity;
The UFO: Use key to bump up;
There is one level visually accessible into the game.
The game features Level Editor. Press F3 to enter the editor and F4 to save.
CAUTION: Editor is unstable and may destroy the default level when it's not supposed to happen! Please, backup the level before editing!
For advanced users:
If you would like to try the inner power of Geometry Dash 3D, you may want to know a little bit more.
The data of all levels is located into /data/levels ... The default level is called "Level[1].txt"... If you would like to make your custom level with custom music on it, follow the steps:
- BACKUP the original level! In case that you destroy something, you can't get it back... The game has no security encrypts etc...
- RENAME the original level! Maybe call it "Level[1] - Backup.txt"...
- Make new text file and call it "Level[1].txt"...
- Open the text file in Notepad...
Optional: If you want to use custom music, go to "/data/music/" , and put your music there in OGG format... This is important!
- If you don't have custom music, type in "StereoMadness"... else type in your music WITHOUT the extention of the file... For example your file is called "Music.ogg" You type in "Music"...
- The next line is the beginning color in RGB... The lowest value is 000 and the highest is 100... For example, if you want blue color, type in "000,000,100"... If you want white color, type in "100,100,100", if you want red color, type in "100,000,000" etc...
- Launch the game and start editing your level...
The editor has some features...
Use A/Z to cycle the objects... They are as ID-s
ID-s:
1. Solid gradient block;
2. Solid gradient spike;
3. Half solid block;
4. Jump pad;
5. Color bucket* (Check the explanation later);
6. Chain;
7. SpaceShip Portal;
8. Random spikes;
9. Solid Brick Block;
10. Character Portal;
11. Gravity down portal;
12. Gravity up portal;
13. Ball portal;
14. Buzzsaw;
15. UFO portal;
16. Beating sphere;
17. Grass;
18. Vines;
*Color bucket is used to change the color of the environment... Use the sliders at the top left corner to adjust the color and THEN place the bucket...
BE CAREFUL! Glitch alert... If the character passes the bucket, but the colors doesn't change, put the bucket closer to the platform...
Better just play arround instead of memorizing these...
Use the arrow keys to navigate... Use the scroll button to zoom in/out...
Use the left-mouse button to place an object... Use right-mouse button to remove object...
Glitch Alert: Sometimes deleting requires holding down the right button... sometimes it requires Level Of Detail update... Which means if you right-click an object, but it visually doesn't disappear, go a little bit to the right with the arrow keys and then go back... This is causing the objects to update...
Use the buttons at the top-right corner to rotate the object BEFORE placing it!
Use the "play" button to play the music at the point you are... (this is glitchy)
To put custom beats to your music, go to the bottom-right corner and you will see a little icon... click on it...
Your music will start again in 3 seconds or so... Your screen will be a little white...
When it starts, press Q to add a small beat, press W to add a powerful beat (like a kick or bass etc...) The screen will blink to indicate that you set beats...
Caution! You can't press them at the same time... you may end up with the small beat...
Press Enter to save the beats...
I recommend you making the level after you record the beats because you can make the level rhythm based... The coolest thing in geometry dash...
When you're ready, press the F4 to save the level... and try it!
And maybe share it with us... I will be glad to try a custom made level... please, do it for me!
USE Windowed mode if you're gonna edit and switch to this post for info... Because 3D Rad will constantly close in full screen mode...
Do you want a tutorial on editing? Just tell me...
Anyway... the thing that you waited so long while you were reading... the download link!
