Hey, guyz, time to show you what I've done so far with the X-Craft game... This is VERY early release of X-Craft... don't expect something big... Currently in the game you can explore a pre-generated world. The project demonstrates the Terrain generation and LOD (Chunk) system. Controls: Arrow keys - navigate through the world... Enter - Jump (Very Laggy) Known lags (There are much, but these are gameplay-dependent): - From time to time you can walk very slow because of friction problems (will be fixed later); - If you don't wait the chunk to load, you may fall down to the void; - If you press the Enter twice, it will send you into the air; Advantages of the game, compared to these made by 3D Rad: - Incredibly fast loading, terrain generating... over 5 second process; Once the game achieves game menu, update launcher and gaming experience, it will be claimed as complete game... /By the way, those who played minecraft before will recongnize the Herobrine's skin.../Please, leave your comments and ideas below...

this is kinda neat, a minecraft clone developed in 3DRAD... as for the test, it ran smoothly at the default res... windows 8.1/amd a8-6500 quad core/radeon 8570D graphics...
here's some jump code that might be useful to you... will stop the character from jumping to the moon...
int jumpTime = 0;
Vector3 loc, lastLoc;
void Main(){
OUT_22=0;
if(iKeyDown(iKeyCode("DIK_RCONTROL")) && IN_88>0){
if(jumpTime<4)OUT_22=2880;
if(jumpTime==0)jumpTime=1;
if(jumpTime>8){
OUT_22=0;
}
if(jumpTime>12) OUT_22=0;
if(jumpTime>0 && jumpTime<52)jumpTime++;
if(jumpTime>51)jumpTime=0;
}
OUT 22 is the force intensity of a Force object pointing straight up.... the RigidBody wieght is 11... you might have to play with it a bit to fine tune the jump to get it exactly the way you want...

Thank you... updates will come soon, but I have to plan my time spending because I have to develop the Blue [Square] v4.0.0...
actually I don't know why nobody answers to my posts on the forum discussion... I feel a little bit that nobody cares how the site will look... and that annoyes me a little bit... because I spend my time also in learning HTML and CSS to make the site looking professional and modern...

Of course it's not only for admins... admins can create threads but there is no restriction about posting... oh thanks for that notice... now I understood what happens... it's just kind of misunderstanding...

Minecraft sounds cool.
An idea i have to reduce block count would be to use an array database of the world that stores location and type of block.
Then use a kind of LOD system where blocks behind the view port are moved infront of the player so they are in the view port.
Ideally you would need quiet a few blocks though and or restrict the view port view distance so the missing blocks cant be seen and thats the area where the blocks are moved into and out of view.
You may have to limit how fast the player moves to be sure 3drad doesn't fall behind.
Problems: 3drad cant load data files in the background sooo, your project would be paused if a new data file needed to be loaded or saved.
( you mite be able to speed this up if you used a whole bunch of smaller data files so the delay is limited, think of it like your world is built of city blocks of data, each containing 1000 block pieces, something like that. )
all this would need testing to see what the limit is before 3drad pukes or just becomes too laggy. plus the data files would need to be downloaded by new players entering into a new area for the first time.. once loaded, they still would need to be updated as needed, so a "last modified" date could be used to control updating of data files.
It will a challenge to get 3drad to handle this smoothly, but it mite be done.. testing will need to be done to find the limits and see if 3drad can handle it.
Annddd lets hope 3drad bugs keep out.

The problem is that there are much blocks... they seem a little here, but into the vision of the player there are 2048 blocks only grass... The problem is that there are blocks of dirt, stone etc that I can't just hide... 3D Rad counts them in, no matter they are not visible... Imposters are like that...

You should make graphics options, for a longer render distance and possibly higher res textures?

Imposters are like that... it lagged for me too, i think this may be the physics boogie man again, as 'The clones (imposters) are identical to the master RigidBody object but perform physics simulation independently.' that's too many physics objects that rad can't handle, maybe if you made 1 massive block in sketchup and trimmed blocks out then export as a single body it would work better? as i don't think the textures would have caused that lag at all.

One huge model would ruin the main purpose of the game... With one rigidbody you wont be able to break blocks...

your only other option to optimize it then is to slow or decrease accuracy of physics processing using the script switches.
edit: but 1st try running without any textures just to be sure, but i doubt that'll help as they look low res.
